The ISABC Newcomer’s Program aims to provide teachers new to the ISABC as well as those new to BC with networking and collaboration opportunities. The program is structured around in-person and online sessions that cover various themes. Importantly, each participant will be teamed up with a mentor in another ISABC school to provide support and networking connections throughout the year.
The program will complement in-school programming and meet specific needs of new educators. There will also be tailored sessions for those who are new to BC. Most importantly it provides a space for fellow teachers to engage participants in the association and have them connect and collaborate with other ISABC community members.
Endorsement from your Principal/Supervisor is required to submit your application. You are required to attend all of the sessions of the program and will need to make arrangements in advance to ensure your participation. All meeting times with the exception of the mentor visit are scheduled for after school hours, however please share the dates of the program with your principal to ensure coverage has been approved (if needed) before joining the program.
The cost to participate in the program is $50. Your school will be invoiced once your registration has been processed.
