ISABC Newcomer’s Program

ISABC Newcomer’s Program

The ISABC Newcomer’s Program aims to provide newly qualified teachers with collaboration opportunities and a supportive network. The program will include professional learning during 2 in-person sessions, 2 virtual sessions and monthly connection with a mentor to ensure continued support throughout the year.  The program will complement in-school programming and meet specific needs of new educators.  This program will provide a space for teachers to engage and learn about the association and connect and collaborate with other ISABC community members.

The ISABC Newcomer program is for newly qualified teachers (in their first 3 years of teaching).

If you are interested in becoming a mentor please view the Mentor Information Document and use the link in the document to register to become a mentor.

The cost to participate in the program is $150 per teacher.  There is no cost for mentors. Schools will be invoiced once teachers have confirmed their registration in the program.

In addition to attending the following meetings, you are required to connect with your mentor (who will be assigned to you) on a monthly basis and schedule a date to meet your mentor at their school to have a tour and a date to invite your mentor to your school.
