The 2025-26 faculty grid for this position is $73,263 to $112,656 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.
Are you a passionate and dedicated educator who thrives in a dynamic, innovative environment? Mulgrave School is seeking a highly motivated Physics and Chemistry Teacher to join our Upper School team and inspire our students in their exploration of Science.

As an educator here, you will have the unique opportunity to teach students in Grades 6-12 within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). You will play a key role in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning while providing a safe and inclusive space where every student belongs.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach IB Diploma Programme Chemistry and possibly Physics, IB MYP Science, and LEAP electives as needed
- Contribute to curriculum planning and programme development as a member of one or more subject teams
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of and passion for your subject
- Connect with and inspire students to outstanding levels of achievement in your subject
- Serve as Homeroom Advisor for a group of approximately 12 School students
- Support students’ post-secondary goals by providing reference letters as required
- Contribute to co-curricular programming (as a club supervisor, coach, etc.) and outdoor education experiences
- Inspire students to achieve their personal best by providing a rich and engaging programme that develops students’ skills, promotes curiosity and love of learning, and prioritises well-being.
Who you are:
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching science to adolescents, with a passion for upper school education.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work visa).
- BC Teacher Certification or the ability to obtain it before beginning employment.
- A deep understanding of MYP or a willingness to learn and implement the IB framework.
- An enthusiasm for connecting with students both in and out of the classroom, whether through athletics, clubs, or extracurricular activities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience with the IB MYP and DP and a genuine passion for international education is an asset
- A proven ability to work collaboratively in a team while also excelling independently.
