The 2025-26 faculty grid for this position is $73,263 to $112,656 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.

Mulgrave School is seeking a dynamic, passionate PYP Music Teacher to join our Junior School team and inspire our youngest learners through the power and joy of music. The Role
As a PYP Music Teacher, you will teach music to students in Pre-K to Grade 5 and lead two co-curricular music ensembles, helping to build a vibrant musical community. You will use an inquiry- and concept-based approach to engage young learners, fostering musical exploration, technical skill, and expressive performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach PYP Music through a creative, student-centered approach
  • Lead two co-curricular ensembles and promote joyful music-making
  • Collaborate with Performing Arts and classroom teachers to enrich cross-disciplinary learning
  • Inspire students to achieve excellence and confidence in music
    Support the holistic development of students, both in and out of class

What You Bring:

  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Music or Music Education (preferred)
  • Experience with the IB PYP or Orff-Schulwerk training is a strong asset
  • Skills in concert and event planning, ensemble direction, and music technology
  • A passion for working in diverse, inclusive learning environments

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
