The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is $75,461 to $116,035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master’s will be paid at a higher range.

Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate and culturally responsive EAL Specialist to support Upper School students in developing the academic English proficiency required for success across all subject areas. You will work with a diverse and multilingual student body, helping bridge the gap between language acquisition and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, scaffolded lessons integrating listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Adapt grade-level content to ensure accessibility while maintaining intellectual rigor
- Collaborate with subject teachers through “push-in” support and professional development initiatives
- Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative tools
- Guide students through language acquisition milestones and transition readiness
- Contribute to co-curricular programmes, including clubs, athletics, or outdoor education
- Foster a learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence, and well-being

Required Qualifications
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
- British Columbia teaching certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or TESOL (Master’s preferred)
- 2–3 years of EAL teaching experience at the middle or secondary level
- Valid First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
