The 2026-27 faculty grid for this position is $75,461 to $116,035 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Master’s will be paid at a higher range.

About Us
Mulgrave School is an independent, co-educational IB World School offering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Grades 6–10 and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 11–12. While most students pursue the DP, approximately 20% follow an enriched graduation pathway that blends IB and other courses.
Our Upper School (Grades 6–12) is a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative professional community, where innovation is encouraged and student learning and well-being guide everything we do. Teachers know their students well, both inside and outside the classroom, and work collectively to ensure every student feels challenged, supported, and truly known.
As an IB DP Geography Teacher, you will:
- Teach IB DP Geography (SL & HL) and MYP Individuals & Societies
- Inspire students to think critically about people, places, and global systems
- Collaborate with a dynamic I&S team to continually strengthen our programme
- Serve as a Homeroom Advisor to approximately 12 Senior School students (Grades 10–12)
- Supervise Extended Essays or Personal Projects, as assigned
- Lead or supervise at least one co-curricular activity annually, aligned with your interests and expertise

Required Qualifications
- Legally entitled to work in Canada or willing to obtain appropriate visa and permissions (with school support)
- BC Teacher Certification, or eligibility and willingness to obtain certification
- Minimum 2 years of full-time secondary teaching experience in Geography or a closely related subject
Preferred Experience & Assets
- Experience teaching DP Geography (SL & HL)
- Experience teaching MYP Individuals & Societies
- Strong knowledge of IB philosophy and programmes
- Involvement with the IB Educator Network (e.g. Examiner, Workshop Leader)
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Capacity to teach an additional DP subject (e.g. Theory of Knowledge) is an asset

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
