Casual On-Call Test Centre and Library Supervisors

We are seeking casual, on-call supervisors to provide support at both our Senior School Test Centre and Library. This role involves overseeing daily operations, invigilating exams, assisting students, and ensuring a smooth, efficient environment.
The successful candidates will have the following skills, background and interests:
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 graduation required.
Familiarity with the Google Suite (e.g., Google Classroom, Google Docs), or a willingness to be trained in use of the platform.
Strong communication skills, particularly in communicating instructions to students.
Attention to detail and consistency in follow-up.
High level of professionalism, reliability and punctuality.
Ability to work independently.
Previous invigilation experience (e.g., SATs, etc.) and/or experience in a library is an asset.
Test Centre
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
Supervise the Test Writing Centre from 6:15-8:45 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday evenings throughout the school year, as needed.
Actively invigilate assessments to ensure academic integrity.
Ensure each student is permitted the allotted time specified by the subject teacher.
Review instructions and timings for each assessment with the students.
Ensures completed assessments have been submitted appropriately.
Other duties as required.
Library
Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
Supervise students to ensure a welcoming and secure learning commons conducive to collaborative and independent study.
Assist students with queries and requests and replenish supplies as needed.
Troubleshoot issues as needed e.g.: difficulty checking out books.
Maintain a tidy and organized learning commons.
Check in and shelve books.
Maintain shelves to ensure ready and safe access to books.
Other duties as required such as creating displays, selecting books for displays, filling special requests from teachers on specific subject areas, searching the stacks for lost or missing books, taking inventory, and processing and discarding books.
Pay Range:
Hourly pay range: $21.97 – $25.84
Criminal Record Check:
Must pass and maintain a clear Solicitor General criminal record check for the purpose of working with children.
