Coach, Model United Nations, Senior School

Part-time, Fixed-term Contract

Crofton House School is currently seeking a Model United Nations (MUN) coach to join the Senior School MUN team (Grades 8-12). As a MUN Coach, you will work collaboratively with the teacher sponsors and student club captains to deliver a program that develops students’ knowledge of global issues and supports their involvement at MUN competitions.

Responsibilities:  

  • Plan and deliver practices for MUN and Ethics Bowl club members on Tuesdays after school from January 2026 – June 2026.
  • Act as a supervisor for students at MUN conference(s) as needed.
  • Attend and support students during MUN and Ethics Bowl competition(s) as needed.
  • Work in partnership with the teacher sponsors and club captains to promote, plan, and deliver a MUN program that meets the needs of new and experienced club members.
  • Provide additional resources, training, and support to students as they prepare for various MUN conferences.
  • Support and develop the leadership abilities of the MUN student club captains.
  • Attend planning meetings with the MUN teacher sponsors and club captains to review progress and future plans.
  • Maintain open communication with the teacher sponsors and school administration.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Participate in school-initiated training such as:   Respect in the Workplace and Safeguarding
  • Other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience: 

  • 1 – 3 years of experience coaching Model United Nations and/or Ethics Bowl.
  • Be knowledgeable in the procedures and formats of local High School MUN conferences.
  • Demonstrable awareness of the learning styles of girls and young women.
  • Committed to the standards of professional practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Employment and Application Details:

This role starts January 2026.

Compensation: From $2000 – $2500 depending on experience and time commitment.
