Associate Teacher, Junior School (Kindergarten – Grade 7)

Full-time Fixed-term Contract

April – June 2026

We are looking for a full-time Associate Teacher with a passion or expertise in educational technology integration and/or STEM expertise, to join us on a three-month contract. This is a mentorship-oriented role designed to support teachers who are early in their career and aspire to full-time classroom teaching in the future. The position offers an excellent opportunity to build essential skills and experiences, helping prepare educators for long-term success in their career.

The successful candidate will join a vibrant, innovative school community focused on personal excellence, whole child development, and overall wellness. Enjoy the experience of teaching in a dynamic kindergarten play-based program, in primary classrooms with a focus on emergent reading, writing and numeracy, project-based learning, in an inquiry-driven intermediate program supported with personal iPads, or in a distinct middle school curriculum determined by the unique development of preadolescent girls as they prepare for high school.  

This position is ideal for a teacher in the first three years of their career.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide TOC (Teacher on Call) coverage from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7, including specialist areas such as Educational Technology Integration Art, PE, and Music as appropriate
    Collaborate with classroom teachers by supporting in areas such as curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment
  • Provide personalized instruction and learning support for individual students
  • Supervise students during non-instructional time
  • Lead STEAM-based co-curricular club offerings across primary and middle school divisions.
  • Engage in field trips, outdoor education, service projects, leadership development, and athletics

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification
    Strong knowledge of educational technology practices and platforms (e.g. Makey Makey, Book Creator, green screens, Padlet, Puppet Pals, etc.) focusing on building digital skills for students in grades 1-7.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to teaching the whole child
  • Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic

Employment and Application Details:

This role starts in April 2026.

Compensation: Annual salary $62,615 – $65,433.
