King David High School is a leading Jewish independent school committed to academic excellence, Jewish values, and community engagement. We are seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Admissions Manager to lead and elevate the school’s admissions program. The Admissions Manager serves as the first point of contact for prospective families, ensuring a warm, organized, and professional experience from initial inquiry through enrolment. This role manages the day-to-day operations of the admissions process and supports the school’s mission.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Head of School in working to ensure continuous improvement in admissions process and manage the recruitment, enrollment and retention of students.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive strategic plan of admissions of new students to the school.
  • Direct the admissions process from point of inquiry through enrollment.
  • Present the school to prospective students and parents, which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications and communication with candidates and their parents; tours of the institution; interviews with candidates and their parents; securing of necessary student credentials; and communicating final decisions to the appropriate individuals.
  • Initiate and create activities intended to interest parents and potential supporters in sending students to King David.
  • Promote good relationships and create networking opportunities and support for representatives with outside institutions or groups (schools, synagogues, other Jewish institutions, etc.) that can be helpful in attracting quality students.
  • Manage the re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year with consistent monitoring of attrition and retention.
  • Keep relevant statistics on all aspects of the admission and re-enrollment program.
  • Participate in and assist with admissions events including in-person and online open houses, local marketing events, parent events, student orientations

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-secondary education and 3+ years of experience in admissions in independent schools
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling skills
  • Experience with analytics tools, Microsoft Office and/or Google Docs

  • Half-time salary range, commensurate with experience: $40,000-50,000 (Half-time)
  • Very occasional evening and weekend work required
