Junior School Homeroom Teacher – Kindergarten

Full-Time Short Term – August 25, 2025 – December 19, 2025 

Start date:  August 25, 2025 Location: North Vancouver

Brockton School is currently seeking a full-time Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher for the August 2025 through December 2025 period of the 2025-26 school year. The Teacher will work collaboratively with a teaching partner, with members of the JK-Grade 5 PYP team, and with other members of Faculty/Staff. As a member of the teaching team, this teacher will report to the Junior School Director and to the PYP Coordinator.

The Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher will work with colleagues including but not limited to specialist teachers and counsellors, IB Coordinators, and other key members of staff. 

 

Required Qualifications: 

❏ BC Teacher Certification as supported by the BC Teachers Regulation Branch 

❏ Legally entitled to work in Canada

❏ Interest in being part of a dynamic and visionary IB school community 

 

Ideal characteristics: 

❏ BC Teacher Certification

❏ IB experience or training (preferred)

❏ Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in education

❏ Minimum of two years of teaching experience at the Kindergarten level

❏ Excellent written and oral communication skills

❏ High EQ skills, possess the ability to be self-aware

❏ Strong problem-solving, organizational, and administrative skills

❏ The ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
