Brockton School is a nondenominational coeducational Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, independent school, located in North Vancouver, British Columbia. The following position is available for expressions of interest:

PYP Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher – Junior School – Full Time Temporary (As Soon As Possible – March 12, 2027) 

Brockton School is inviting applications for a full-time Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher position covering a maternity/parental leave As Soon As Possible to March 12, 2027 during the 2026-27 academic year, with the potential for extension. The Teacher will work collaboratively with a teaching partner, with members of the JK-Grade 5 PYP team, and with other members of Faculty/Staff. As a member of the teaching team, this teacher will report to the Junior School Principal and to the PYP Coordinator.

 

Requirements:

❏  BC Teaching Certificate: Certificate of Qualification or Independent School Teaching Certificate

❏ Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in education

❏ Interest in being part of a dynamic and visionary IB school community

❏ Excellent knowledge of the BC Curriculum and latest trends in educational research and pedagogy

❏ Eligible to work in Canada

 

Ideal characteristics:

❏  Computing Science and/or programming experience is an asset

❏ Experience with robotics is an asset

❏   3-5 years of successful teaching experience

❏   Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills

❏   Strong organizational and time-management skills

❏   Knowledge of the current research on technology and design learning

❏   Commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement

Salary Range:  Brockton Faculty Salary Grid 

2026-27 Example – For TQS Category 5  (Step 1) $71,107 to $110,385(Step 10 ) per annum

Total compensation for this role includes paid sick leave, excellent extended health care benefits and income insurance, professional development and other benefits.
