Physics Teacher (Temporary Leave Coverage)
Start Date: As soon as possible
End Date: Anticipated to be March 14, 2026 (potential extension to end of school year)
Brentwood College School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Physics Teacher to join our dynamic faculty team. This temporary position covers a leave of absence and involves teaching four blocks of Physics, including Advanced Placement (AP) Physics. While AP experience is preferred, we encourage all teachers with senior-level Physics expertise to apply. If necessary, the AP block may be reassigned internally.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, concept-based Physics instruction aligned with BC curriculum and AP standards
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and foster intellectual curiosity
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student success
- Provide academic advising and tutorial support as needed
- Participate in department meetings and contribute to Brentwood’s vibrant community life
Qualifications
- Accredited to teach in British Columbia; B.Ed or equivalent required (post-graduate degree an asset)
- Experience teaching Grades 11–12 Physics; familiarity with AP curriculum is an asset
- Strong communication, adaptability, and collaborative skills
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning
- Experience with online platforms such as Google Classroom is an asset

- Prorated compensation will be based on placement on the 2025-26 teaching grid. (approximately $72,000 – $114,000 annually)
