Join Our Team as the Transportation Supervisor!

Brentwood College School is looking for an organized, service-oriented, and digitally savvy Transportation Supervisor to help support our Transportation Department. This role supports the planning and coordination of day-to-day school travel logistics while also contributing to the big picture of departmental improvement and operational excellence.

You’ll be a key point of contact for students, parents, and staff—managing schedules, communicating updates, and helping ensure that all trips run safely and smoothly. Working closely with the Manager of Transportation, you’ll support drivers, assist with dispatch, arrange external travel bookings, oversee compliance, and help keep things moving during our busiest times of the year.

This is a fast-paced and people-centered position that blends administrative work with team leadership. Your ability to stay calm under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and build relationships will make you a valued member of the Brentwood community.

Your Opportunity:
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity starting after July 1, 2025 with an annual salary of $62,466. Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required for special events or major school travel days. There will also be a rotation of after-hours on-call responsibilities to address urgent transportation issues.

Your Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced office environment with team-based operations
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a positive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience with dispatching, scheduling, or operational planning is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Google Workspace, and web-based platforms
  • Grade 12 diploma required: post-secondary education or training an asset
  • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license: Class 2 with Air Brake endorsement is a bonus
  • First Aid and WHMIS are considered assets
     

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinates daily transportation schedules and manage key event logistics
  • Communicates with staff, students, and parents about school-related travel
  • Supports internal school programs and external rental needs
  • Tracks performance data and support department-wide planning
  • Works with our mechanic to prioritize and schedule preventative maintenance
  • Assists with staff scheduling, paperwork, and onboarding
  • Helps improve systems and workflows for better efficiency
  • Provides backup coverage when the Manager of Transportation is unavailable
