Aspengrove School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Orton-Gillingham (OG) Teacher to provide structured literacy intervention for students with learning differences, including dyslexia. The successful candidate will work as a key member of the Student Resource Team and deliver explicit, systematic, and multisensory instruction aligned with Orton-Gillingham principles, supporting students in developing strong foundational reading and spelling skills.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver individualized Orton-Gillingham instruction
Assess students’ literacy skills and use data to inform instruction
Develop and implement structured literacy lesson plans
Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
Collaborate with classroom teachers, resource staff, and families
Maintain clear documentation of student progress and programming
Support a positive, inclusive learning environment
Maintain regular, professional communication with parents regarding student progress, milestones, and strategies for home support.
Provide detailed progress reports at the end of each term or grading period

Qualifications
Orton-Gillingham training (Associate, Certified, or in progress)
Degree or certification in Education, Special Education, or a related field
Experience working with students with learning disabilities
Strong understanding of structured literacy and phonics-based instruction
Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Experience in a school-based setting is an asset
