Compensation: Salary Range $56,570 – 80,550 based on experience. This position will also include, life insurance, health and dental benefits, tuition discount allowance and RRSP contribution match.
Aspengrove School is an independent, co-educational day school located on a stunning 40-acre campus in Lantzville, BC, on beautiful Vancouver Island. We are a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 International Baccalaureate (IB) World School currently transitioning from the IB Diploma Programme to offering Advanced Placement (AP) courses. We are currently seeking an education professional to join Aspengrove in the role of Academic Coach and Associate Faculty. The role will provide academic support to students participating in our Peak Performers program as well as supporting classroom teachers (team teaching) and teaching on call when required. The ideal candidate will bring with them energy and flexibility and have strong interpersonal skills with students and colleagues.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Peak Performers with missed class time.
- Liaising with classroom teachers to support students that have missed classes.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support academic classes as required.
- Work collaboratively with our Student Resource Center to support students with neuro-diverse learning.
- Provide teacher-on-call support when possible
- Engage in the life of Aspengrove School, including leading a co-curricular activity
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent;
- A valid BC teaching certificate or Independent School Certification qualifying criteria
- Canadian residency and be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Experience teaching IB an Asset
- Strong alignment with Aspengrove School’s mission, values, and commitment to university preparation

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families
- Comfort working in a technology-rich teaching and learning environment
