Aberdeen Hall provides
Competitive Compensation for permanent Faculty at an annual salary of $66,499 to $114,962, inclusive of vacation pay and commensurate with years of teaching experience

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dynamic, visionary Director of Senior Athletics to lead and oversee all aspects of our Grades 6–12 athletic program. This includes managing all athletic events, including school sports teams, intramurals, team coaching, athletic event coordination, and community partnership development. The role also involves managing the rentals and community use of our Athletics and Wellness Centre, helping to ensure that this important facility continues to be a hub of engagement and school spirit.
The successful candidate will be an educator and leader who is passionate about fostering student development through athletics, embraces collaborative leadership, and has a talent for creating meaningful student and community experiences.
Success Factors
Bachelor of Education and a BC Teacher’s Certification (or equivalent)
A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a closely related field is required; a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is considered a strong asset.
A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience, ideally within a K–12 independent school setting, with demonstrated leadership in athletic programming, team coaching, or physical education curriculum development.
Proven ability to lead and inspire student-athletes, colleagues, and coaches in both competitive and recreational athletic environments.
Strong understanding of sports league coordination, facility management, and transportation logistics.
Familiarity with BC Curriculum for Physical and Health Education, and a passion for fostering student wellness, character, and teamwork through athletics.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders.
