Over the past 20 years, Aberdeen Hall has become a top-level independent school that provides excellent academics and a strong character education to our diverse student population of 700 Preschool to Grade 12 children.
We have an opportunity starting in January 2026 in our Preschool for a Part-time Early Childhood Educator (ECE) of approximately 20 hours per week. Monday to Friday, 1:15 to 5:15.
Our enriched preschool program includes 6 individual classrooms, providing space for 63 preschool students. Our program includes 2 designated playgrounds, a sports court, a natural forest, and many more bonus spaces included throughout the school campus.

Position Summary
The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) fosters a nurturing, developmentally enriching environment that supports children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. The ECE collaborates with the preschool team to deliver engaging, Montessori-inspired learning experiences. Reporting to the Director of Preschool, the ECE leads purposeful afternoon activities, promotes curiosity and independence, and maintains a warm, inclusive classroom community while building strong relationships with families and colleagues.
Success Factors
- Certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and a valid BC license to practice
- Available to work Monday to Friday from 1:15 p.m. to 5:15 pm
- Montessori Training would be considered an asset
- Experience in a licensed childcare centre, preschool, or similar setting
Current First Aid & CPR Certification and a clear Criminal Record Check - Knowledge of BC’s Early Learning Framework, ECEBC Code of Ethics, and BC Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Proficient with the Google Workspace tool
- Demonstrates empathy, emotional intelligence, and strong communication and collaboration skills
