Queen Margaret’s School is seeking an exceptional Senior School Mathematics Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. This is a live-in position that includes boarding house responsibilities in addition to classroom teaching.

The Role
As a Senior School Mathematics Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Mathematics courses at the Senior School level (Grades 8–12), including senior academic pathways
  • Design engaging, rigorous, and student-centered lessons
  • Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues
  • Participate actively in co-curricular and extracurricular program

As a live-in boarding faculty member, you will also:

  • Serve as a boarding house advisor and mentor
  • Provide supervision and pastoral care to boarding students
  • Support evening and weekend boarding duties on a rotating schedule
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful residential environment
  • Build meaningful relationships that support students’ academic and personal growth
  • This position requires flexibility, emotional intelligence, and a genuine commitment to community living.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience teaching senior-level Mathematics
  • Experience in boarding or residential life is an asset
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to character education and whole-student development
