Join Our Team as the Maintenance Supervisor!
Brentwood College School is looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead our talented maintenance team. This new key role oversees the day-to-day operations and in-house maintenance projects that keep our beautiful campus safe, functional, and visually exceptional. You’ll coordinate and prioritize work orders, guide preventative maintenance programs, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and efficiency. You’ll also supervise and mentor a dedicated crew, manage contractors, support project planning and budgeting, and champion process improvements and sustainability. Your leadership and technical skills will help ensure Brentwood continues to be one of the most inspiring places to live, work, and learn.
This is a dynamic and physically active position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you’ll contribute to the overall success of campus operations and be part of a team that takes pride in maintaining a world-class educational environment.
Your Opportunity:
This is a permanent full-time opportunity starting after July 1, 2025 with an annual salary of $82,600. Flexibility will be required based on operational needs and for emergency response, which may include periodic evenings and weekends.
Your Certifications and Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in construction, facilities, or maintenance, including 2+ years in a leadership role ideally at a school or other institutional setting
- Strong expertise in one area (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, or electrical systems), with general knowledge of the others; familiarity with building codes is an asset
- Red Seal or trade certification, technical diploma, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Valid BC driver’s license required
- WHMIS and Level 1 First Aid are considered assets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
