    ISABC Service Learning Roundtable

    Mulgrave School, West Vancouver
    Friday, Jan 26th, 2018 10.00AM - 1.00PM
*Please note lunch will be provided and transportation to and from the ferry at Horseshoe Bay can be arranged for our island folks if needed.

As educators that spread across many divisions, and roles and interests, the goal of the roundtable session is for us to come together, connect and share best practices. As well, we have often used these meetings to showcase vendors or presenters whom we think might support our diverse programmes in experiential learning.  Both Cecile and I are happy to share our recent developments in service learning in our Junior (K-6) and Upper (G7-12) divisions. As well, I have been working with two new service providers in our Global Experiential Learning Expeditions (GEx) initiatives (Insight Global Education and JUMP!) that I think might be of interest to others looking for a different model of service learning or alternative international trips. If people are interested, I can invite them to come and showcase their work and how they might connect to your school. As our meeting takes place just before the ISABC Conference itself, this roundtable could also be a starting point for more targeted collaboration and discussions that could happen after at the conference on February 9th at Collingwood.

    PLEASE RSVP
In order the firm up the date and focus for the sessions, please complete the following ISABC Service Learning Roundtable RSVP Google Form here. Please note: if you are unable to make it, we will be sure to share our roundtable notes and resources with you and we plan on recording a podcast of the session for your reference.
