Throughout the year, ISABC offers a variety of Professional Development workshops and sessions that cover a range of topics. These opportunities are designed to provide practical strategies to support your ongoing professional development.
In addition to our workshops and sessions, we offer several leadership programs throughout the year, including the Team Leadership Program and the Student Leadership Program. These programs are designed to develop and enhance leadership skills and capabilities, while providing a supportive and collaborative environment for participants to learn and grow.

Truth and Reconciliation Day: Allyship in the Classroom

You are invited to join Brittney Townrow from West Point Grey Academy honouring Truth and Reconciliation Day with ISABC colleagues. The session will focus on allyship in the classroom. Brittney will provide personal insights and practical ways for landbased and community engagement in the classroom.

The Collaborative: Inspiring Action in BC Secondary Schools | Full agenda

The program of workshops will model innovative practice by educators and industry as they tackle the complex issue of climate change. Practical examples of teachers building students’ climate literacy and climate action will inspire others who are poised to engage this topic. Participants will actively participate during workshops and leave with new inspiration and new resources for their own climate change education journey.

On October 20, 2023, Shawnigan Lake School will host for the 2023 West Coast Regional Expedition organized by ISEEN.

This event offers an opportunity for educators to engage with like-minded individuals in the field of experiential education, fostering an environment for mutual learning and collaboration. Participants will have the chance to partake in a diverse range of experiential activities, contributing to the growth of the ISEEN West Coast Community.
