We are looking for a Teacher Intern (Choral Music) to join our Morven campus (Grades 8 -12). The ideal candidate will be a passionate and committed educator and have expertise in secondary education with a teaching specialization in Choral Music.  Applicants will be required to contribute to the many facets of school life, which will include coaching and extra-curricular responsibilities. This is a Temporary Contract position for the 2023-2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily TOC coverage of classes
  • Working with, and being mentored by, talented educators in either the Middle or Senior School
  • Connecting and collaborating with colleagues in the Performing Arts team
  • Leading co-curricular activities throughout the year in our choral programme

Required qualifications:

  • Certified (or in the process of becoming certified) by the British
  • Columbia Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or the equivalent
  • Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit)

Preferred qualifications and experiences:

  • Passion for supporting co-curricular programming at a secondary school level
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in providing pastoral care for young adults
