What could your day as the Manager of Purchasing and Ancillary Services include?
Overseeing and supporting the operations for Food Services, Custodial Services, Campus Shop, Transportation Department and Laundry Department, and managing and scheduling staff in each area of responsibility.
Managing the annual budgets for each area of responsibility.
Determining and negotiating contract terms and conditions, and recommending and awarding supplier contracts.
Purchasing and inventory management for the Campus Shop and Howard Café and establishing sales prices and evaluating margins for retail operations.
Purchasing new assets for the school and creating disposition plans for assets being replaced and/or retired.
Establishing and maintaining purchasing policies for the School and service level agreements with suppliers.
Establishing and maintaining requirements for equipment, products or other materials to ensure consistency within the school.
Hiring, managing, training and mentoring staff members.

Our ideal Manager of Purchasing and Ancillary Services brings:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
5 to 7 years’ experience in purchasing and retail operations is required.
Budget management and inventory management experience is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is required, and experience with Point Of Sale and inventory management systems is beneficial.
Experience leading and mentoring teams is required.
