Position Overview

The Senior School Teacher-Librarian ensures that library programs and resources support the instructional programs and educational goals of the school. This role collaborates with teachers to build and strengthen the connections between information literacy and research skills, curricular content, learning outcomes, and information resources. The successful individual will remain current in professional practices and developments, and educational research; and make recommendations to continually enhance a 21st Century Learning Commons.

What You’ll Bring

You will hold a valid BC teaching certificate. Experience as a Teacher-Librarian or teaching within the IB framework is preferred but not required. You will have a strong knowledge of inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches, possess a passion for innovation and creativity, and be highly reflective and committed to continuous professional growth and improvement. A strong aptitude in differentiated learning styles and a passion for educating the whole student is expected.
