Position Overview

The Administrative / Events Assistant is charged with providing administrative support and event planning services for the Chief Advancement & Enrolment Officer. In addition to administrative support duties, this role is charged with planning and executing various events and initiatives to support our Admissions and Advancement functions and to strategically engage the GNS and broader community. The successful candidate will support the Chief Advancement & Enrolment Officer and other fundraisers in their efforts to reach the school’s capital campaign and other fundraising objectives.  Demonstrating initiative, a keen eye for detail and a desire to provide exemplary service to all stakeholders, this position develops strong professional relationships to effectively represent GNS.   For a more detailed description of duties, please see the following link.

What You’ll Bring

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations and/or communications however, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  Two years of experience working in administration, or in a public relations field complemented with a background executing events, is desired. Excellent communication skills will be key to engage and make strong connections with a diverse group of people.  Experience working in an independent school environment or fundraising environment would be considered an asset.
