Crofton House School is seeking an experienced elementary school educator to teach French as an additional language. You will be part of a collaborative teaching team supporting the positive growth and development of young girls in the Junior School. Responsibilities:

Teach French as an additional language
Work with young students (Grades 4 to 7)
Establish lively, engaging classes 
Integrate French culture into lessons
Ensure continuity of FSL learning across the Junior School in collaboration with colleagues
Collaborate with all Junior School teachers
Differentiate expectations for young learners
Implement and integrate instructional technology to support learning
Participate in collaborative personal time with a focus on the implementation of the Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling approach (TPRS)
Create FSL curriculum and resources  in line with BC language learning curricular competencies
Participate in the Junior School co-curricular program

Requirements/ Qualifications:

Native-like French language skills (oral and written)
Familiarity with AIM Language Learning program and TPRS an asset
B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification 
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
Understanding on how to support diverse learning styles at an elementary level
Collaborative and energetic with a passion for teaching
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to be innovative, flexible, highly organized with attention to detail
Energy, commitment, and readiness to participate in the co-curricular program and the diverse life of the school community
