Crofton House School is seeking an experienced Grade 3 teacher. You will be part of a collaborative teaching team supporting the positive growth and development of young girls in the Junior School. Responsibilities:

Support the social emotional needs of Grade 3 girls in a homeroom setting
Teach the Grade 3 curriculum in a team-based approach
Plan and implement dynamic, interactive lessons
Develop a student-centred, inquiry-focussed classroom culture
Work collaboratively with Grade 3 teaching team to support all learners
Provide personalized instruction and learning support for individual students
Enhance the experience for diverse learners
Integrate meaningful technology into teaching and learning
Provide supervision of students during non-instructional time
Establish a strong parent partnership
Engage in ongoing teacher professional growth
Participate in school wide events and experiences including outdoor education, service projects, and leadership development
Participate in a comprehensive co-curricular program

Requirements/ Qualifications:

B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification 
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and qualifications to teach at a Middle School level
Previous experience teaching at the Middle School level
Demonstrable awareness of the learning styles of girls and young women
Collaborative and energetic with a passion for teaching
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to be innovative, flexible, highly organized with attention to detail
Energy, commitment, and readiness to participate in the co-curricular program and the diverse life of the school community
