West Point Grey Academy is currently seeking an experienced Learning Support Teacher to join our Senior School Study starting August 28, 2023. This is a 1.0 FTE position.

Our teachers are valued faculty members who, with the support of our Senior School Leadership, Learning Support Services and teaching teams, plan and deliver adaptive, future-focused curricula to students in grades 8-12. 

To support our personalized approach to learning, Learning Support Teachers in WPGA’s Resource and Learning Centre — “The Study” — collaborate with subject teachers regarding educational programs and support for students’ diverse learning needs, including those without designations who are in need of supplemental support. 

At WPGA, Learning Support Teachers work with assigned students to provide focused and explicit instruction and to develop Individual Education Plans and SMART Goals. We are seeking candidates with a familiarity and understanding of the BC curriculum for Grades 8-12 who have demonstrated the ability to work with students with diverse learning needs.
