Vancouver Talmud Torah is currently seeking an IEP Case Manager for the 2024/2025 school year.   

Vancouver Talmud Torah is an Early Childhood to Grade 7 Jewish community day school fostering Jewish identity and literacy with a strong emphasis on producing students who will engage the world through Jewish values. Rigor, excellence, innovation and creativity are integral to the learning experience at VTT. Our school serves families from a diverse range of Jewish backgrounds and religious practices. We are Western Canada’s largest Jewish community day school and have more than 100 years of experience!


• Current TRB Certification. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Education. 

• Commitment to students and to supporting their individual learning needs. 

• Skill in differentiating instruction and fostering a collaborative and creative environment with faculty and staff. 

• Formal training and experience in special education 

• Special education certification is an asset

• A commitment to excellence in teaching, collaboration and ongoing 

 professional growth. 

• An excellent understanding of the BC Ministry of Education K-7 program 

• A proficiency in using and teaching assistive technologies

• Excellent communication, creative problem solving and organizational skills. 

• Support the mission, vision and values of our school. 

Primary Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update IEPs and Student Support Plans for students with special education needs
  • Lead IEP/SSP Meetings with members of the school-based team and families
  • Work as part of the student support team (classroom teachers, EAs, OG Tutors, Special Education Coordinator, school principals)
  • Continually assess student achievement using a variety of methods and modalities
  • Differentiate learning according to students skills and abilities, provide accommodations and modifications to support the success of all students
  • Participate in school-wide professional development
  • Liaise with parents and outside agencies to support our students’ special education needs
  • Ensure the accommodations within IEP’s are being met through regular checks in with the school-based team
  • Contribute to a culture of collegiality and collaboration through seeing oneself as part of team
  • Strong familiarity with Psychological Education Assessments and Level B testing
  • Commitment to using data and metrics to improve student learning
