Marketing Communications Coordinator

This position supports and optimizes Brockton’s Marketing and Communications program. The Marketing Communications Coordinator will work with the Director of Community Development to create captivating content about the Brockton School Community. On a daily basis, they will capture stories about student life and the teaching and learning opportunities at Brockton School that can be shared on our website, in our newsletters, and on our social media platforms. The Marketing Communications Coordinator will also provide design support for social media, events (invitations and marketing materials), and various school projects.

Ideal candidates for this role should be creative and innovative, have excellent copywriting skills, savvy with design platforms, well-organized, and must work collaboratively within a team.

Marketing Communications Coordinator Responsibilities:

Team support for all marketing and communications initiatives

Liaises across all departments to collect information for blog posts and our weekly parent newsletter

Supports Advancement Manager with social media content collection and creation

Supports maintenance of the website, ensuring all content is up to date and accurate

Researches and writes stories for the school’s digital publications and proofreads and edits copy as needed

Formats all communications including email announcements (internal and external), the weekly parent newsletter, event invitations, and parent email communications

Maintains the editorial calendar for school communications

Gathers, edits, and archives all photo and video material for all school communications

Other duties as identified

Marketing Communications Coordinator Requirements:

Marketing, Advertising, Communications degree or diploma and/or a combination of related experience (communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, etc) or equivalent

Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills

Proven photography, video editing, and production skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google suite

Knowledgeable in the use of graphic editing tools, including Adobe Suite

Experience in leveraging social media to enhance community relations and marketing

Highly organized

Strong computer literacy

Sound judgement and professional demeanor

High attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to meet timelines

Strong focus on service excellence, teamwork

Ability to adapt well to change
