Urban Academy is a rapidly growing independent school in New Westminster located in a beautiful new facility across the street from Braid Street Skytrain Station. We are looking for positive and enthusiastic people to fill the position of Teacher on Call. All levels of experience will be considered. All applicants must possess:

BC teacher certification
Canadian residency and be legally entitled to work in Canada
strong English skills
an excellent rapport with children
familiarity with new BC Curriculum is an asset

 

The ideal candidate will also have:

Strong knowledge of British Columbia Curriculum
ability and interest in working across a range of grades and disciplines
Demonstrated experience as an enthusiastic, innovative, and caring educator. A commitment to diversity and inclusion in all its many dimensions
Collaborative and flexible, supportive, and effective team-player
Ability to develop strong professional relationships with all stakeholders
Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience using an inquiry-based and project-based learning approach
