Your Opportunity

This is a temporary Tuesday to Saturday (9:30am – 6:30pm) leadership opportunity covering a leave of absence for approximately 14 – 20 months. The Hospitality Services Department is a 7-day-a-week operation, open between 5:30am – 11:30pm, and is composed of multiple teams – laundry, alterations, custodians, housekeepers, and campus support.

This may be a perfect opportunity for someone just completing their Hospitality Management Diploma who wants to explore working in an independent school setting.

Key Responsibilities

The role of Hospitality Services Supervisors is multifaceted, encompassing team leadership, administrative duties, and departmental responsibilities. Assigned specific teams to oversee, supervisors play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of various operations within the Hospitality Services Department. They collaborate with team members to optimize productivity and uphold service standards. Additionally, supervisors assume administrative tasks vital to the department’s efficiency, working both independently and collaboratively with the Manager of Hospitality Services. Their proactive approach ensures seamless coordination, fostering a supportive environment conducive to achieving organizational goals and delivering exceptional service.

You will promote safe work practices and ensure that department colleagues follow WorkSafe BC guidelines.

Annual Salary: $57,200 to $60,320

Key Experience and Skills

  • Proven ability to create and lead successful, passionate and empowered teams through team building, engagement and empathy
  • Ability to lead by example and provide clear direction, training and feedback to staff
    Strong time-management, organizational, communication and decision-making skills
  • Leadership experience gained in a similar field is an asset


  • Hospitality Management Diploma considered an asset
  • First Aid and WHMIS certification an asset
