The Boarding Faculty Assistant (BFA) brings a passionate interest in teaching as a career or general support work within our Brentwood Community. This is a live on campus position with responsibilities spanning classroom support in academics, boarding group home duties, coaching or teaching athletics or arts, to chaperoning off campus outings and supervising school events and social activities. As a boarding school, we serve and support our students 7 days a week so day, evening and weekend work is required.

1st year BFA’s recieve room and board plus $20,000 for work between August 26, 2024 – June 30, 2025 with paid time off in December and March.

Key Responsibilities

In the classroom and on campus you will develop and deliver units for teaching / co-teaching in specialist subject areas, including class coverage (non-teaching), co-and team-teaching, and tutoring. With our unique tripartite approach, you will also deliver afternoon athletic, arts, coaching or life skills programs. Our BFA’s are key contributors to the structure of an engaging and inclusive home away from home atmosphere for our boarding students supporting the houseparents and assistant houseparents. Education / Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree
  • B.Ed. or equivalent in progress of completed is preferred
  • Ability to coach/instruct in at least one of our co-curricular areas is an asset.


  • Criminal Record Check clearance is a condition of initial and ongoing employment.
  • Must be legally and immediately entitled to work in Canada
