Fraser Academy is looking for a Director of Advancement to join our team that leads the industry in the empowerment and education of students with dyslexia and language-based learning differences.
Reports to: Head of School
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
As Director of Advancement, you provide strategic direction and leadership to fundraising and resource development in accordance with the vision and values of Fraser Academy. As a member of the Leadership team you provide inspired leadership by modeling integrity and consistency in the implementation and follow through of all initiatives/programs. You are an expert in accurate financial analysis and reporting and future focused advancement strategies and implementation.
The Director of Advancement will:
Work collaboratively with Fraser Academy & the Advancement Committee to ensure that information is shared, activities are coordinated and targets are met to provide the organization with significant, ongoing financial support from private sources
In collaboration with staff, key stakeholders, and members of the Board of Directors and within the context of the organization & strategic plan, develop and implement a detailed advancement plan for the organization
Provide direction, coaching and motivation to volunteers and staff regarding personal giving, special events, donor development and recognition to maximize revenue on all activities.
Ensure the development and execution of effective policies and procedures around the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of donors, including the corresponding financial, administrative and recognition policies and procedures
Ensure donors are cultivated, solicited, recognized, and stewarded in accordance with best practice fundraising and the culture of Fraser Academy
Lead the development and implementation of annual campaign plans that outline fundraising goals, methods, timeline and strategy.
Complete other responsibilities as assigned

Sound Judgement - demonstrate sound judgement, the ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions
Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, communications or a related field
Minimum five years experience in fundraising, donor solicitation, other Advancement roles and/or sales
High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
